Eric Eisenberg D.V.M.
Dr. Eisenberg says “I wanted to be a veterinarian as long as I can remember.” He started his veterinary career by first being a vet assistant in his teens. Eric is originally from Long Island, New York, where as a teenager he also raised Doberman Pinchers and he was a dog obedience instructor. Eric then attended and graduated from Ohio State University in 1974 with a bachelor’s in Animal Science.
Much later in life he decided to go for his dream and he received his doctorate in veterinary medicine from Ross University in 1991. Eric’s first job as a vet was in mixed animal practice in Darke County, Ohio. Eric wanted to set out on his own, and started Stonyridge Veterinary Service in 1995 by purchasing a then empty property and renovating the facilty into a vet clinic.
Thirteen years later the clinic barely resembles that original building, and many changes have occurred as the practice expanded and grew through lots of hard work. A true blessing was the addition of Dr. Kelley Young. Eric feels that the clinic’s recent physical expansion “is really the icing on the cake, because I love what I do and look forward to many more years at Stonyridge.”
